Cognos Connection
Students will learn how to use Cognos Connection and the Cognos Viewer. Students will how to view, save, print and export reports to PDF and excel. Customizing Cognos options for the students needs and scheduling reports will be covered.
Query Studio
Students will build ad-hoc reports, group, sort, filter and the calculation feature. In addition students will be introduced to advanced topics such as charting, crosstabs and formatting.
Analysis Studio
Students will learn how to work with the analytical processing tool for high-level, rapid exploration, using drill-down and drag and drop techniques. In addition students will learn how to create calculations, ranking and nesting.
Report Studio Introduction
Students will learn how to use Report Studio to create several types of reports including LIST and CROSSTAB. Students will create filters, prompts, format reports, add details and summary calculations.
Report Studio Advanced
Students will learn how to create complex reports using the Query Explorer in Report Studio. Students will create blank reports with multiple reports on one page, multipage reports, cascading prompts, conditional formatting, advanced calculations and filter.
Metric Studio
Students will learn Scorecarding basics, how to create a scorecard application and how to load the scorecard with data using flat files, ETL processes and Cognos Metric Designer.
CAFE
Built for use with existing versions of Microsoft Excel. Its single, intuitive interface for all exploration and analysis functions integrates seamlessly with the existing Excel workspace.
Event Studio
Students will learn how to create events for notifications. The users will also learn how to create events to view a change in a key performance indicator.
Framework Manager
Students will learn fundamental skills for using Framework Manager to import metadata and publish packages. In addition, students will learn QueBIT Best Practice recommendations for designing models for intuitiveness, performance, consistency, and long-term maintenance. Topics include: Using the Metadata Import Wizard, Understanding the Stitch Query behavior, Understanding Cognos 8 Auto-aggregation behavior and more..
OLAP Modeling
Students will learn the fundamental skills in designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining cubes. In addition students will learn how to use different kinds of data sources, publish to the Cognos 8 portal, and apply security .Contact Information
